Eligibility Criteria:

·        Educational Qualifications: The required qualifications vary by post.

Candidates with a Diploma, B.Sc, GNM, D.Pharm, or other specific paramedical qualifications are eligible. For example, a candidate for the Nursing Superintendent post must have a Certificate as a Registered Nurse and Midwife (3-year course) or a B.Sc. in Nursing.

·        Age Limit: The age limit for candidates is determined as of January 1, 2026. The age criteria vary by post, with most falling between 18 and 40 years. Age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories (SC/ST, OBC, etc.) as per government rules.

Application Fee

·       The application fee is ₹500 for General category candidates

·       ₹250 for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD/Female/Minorities/EBC candidates.

·       A portion of the fee will be refunded to candidates who appear for the CBT.

Selection Process:

The selection process for the RRB Paramedical Staff recruitment typically involves three stages:

1.     Computer-Based Test (CBT): This is the first and most crucial stage. The CBT will be a 90-minute test consisting of 100 questions. The questions will cover:

·       Professional Ability -70 marks

·       General Awareness -10 marks

·       General Arithmetic, General Intelligence and Reasoning -10 marks

·       General Science-10 marks-

There will be a negative marking of 1/3rd of a mark for each incorrect answer.

2.     Document Verification (DV): Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be called for document verification. It is essential to have all required original documents ready to prove your eligibility.

3.     Medical Examination: A medical examination will be conducted to ensure that candidates meet the prescribed medical standards for the respective posts.

Salary and Job Profile:

Selected candidates will receive a competitive salary package as per the 7th Pay Commission. The initial pay varies by post, ranging from approximately ₹21,700 for Lab Assistant Grade II to ₹44,900 for Nursing Superintendent. In addition to the basic pay, employees are entitled to various allowances, including Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and medical benefits. The job profiles and responsibilities are specific to each role, such as patient care for nurses and dispensing medicine for pharmacists.
